Challenge
Established in Switzerland in 2018, Dance Can Do is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing creativity and self-expression among children and teenagers from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
With ambitions to grow into a global initiative, Dance Can Do needed a strong brand to attract ongoing funding from corporate sponsors and public entities. The brand needed to capture the uniqueness of dance as both an art and sport, as well as its positive influence on the mind, body and soul.
Solution
Our creative solution focused on showcasing dance as a catalyst for change. Using the empowering ‘dance can’ statement, we positioned the organisation as a transformative force, showing how dance enriches lives, unites communities and drives meaningful impact in society.
The new logo features dynamic letterforms, with each letter conveying a sense of movement. Inspired by a variety of dance expression – from stretching and twisting to bending and leaping – it radiates energy and personality.
The brand photography repurposes Dance Can Do’s existing image library and introduces three key themes: the impact dance has on young lives, the power of collaboration, and the artistry of professional dancers.
Impact
Dance Can Do’s vibrant, inclusive design serves as a vehicle for long-term engagement and action. The dynamic identity will support the organisation’s ability to build stronger partnerships, secure future funding and continue to champion dance as a powerful form of self-expression and creativity. We supported the brand with the design and delivery of a new website, now successfully live and supporting the next phase of growth.
Founder Aurelia Sellier says, “We love the new visual identity. It clearly reflects the power of dance that we see every day in the children we work with, instilling confidence, improving focus and bringing joy. It will also enable us to expand our work to new areas so that we can engage more children and young people and showcase just what dance can do to change lives.”
