Creating an identity for a business in transition.

World-class pharmaceutical company GSK’s bold vision is to create two independent and leading global companies: a new GSK biopharma company, and a new consumer healthcare company. The ‘new GSK’ will be a leader in vaccines and speciality medicines – committed to innovation and R&D, and dedicated to disease prevention and treatment.

We created the campaign identity to launch their ambitious journey. We needed to engage sceptical investors with a high-performance focus, while exciting GSK’s 110,000 employees with a confidently re-energised brand.

Exploring ‘A Clear Vision’ as our creative theme, we pushed their existing brand further with a dramatic look and feel that features powerful portraits of GSK employees, HCPs and patients, alongside dynamic scientific imagery. In combination with strong messaging, the theme reflects a more focused and agile ‘New GSK’, creating a compelling experience for investors and employees alike.

We brought the theme to life in the staging and set design of the investor event and employee presentations, and across subsequent internal communications. The investor event was a huge success for GSK, with the immediate share price boost indicating that their bold new strategy had landed well with the markets. The employee events were similarly successful, generating positivity and debate throughout the organisation.

With digital transformation a key strand in New GSK’s ambition, we also brought the strategy to life in their digital spaces by creating a suite of animations for use across GSK's social media channels and corporate website.
